According to their website, Shinebright's
Doodle site is a clique/club
for people who love to doodle. As you can probably guess, I couldn't join quickly enough, once I knew
it was there. There's some pretty cool stuff on their site, you should
check it out! |

And according to this H2G2
article, "Very
detailed doodles are often drawn by people who have an obsessive nature, and
who simply will not let go of their ambitions or loved ones. They are also
likely to be jottings of highly introverted people."
Ha! |

And on this graphologist's
site, from the article on doodle analysis you can go right to her list of
services. Also, see the Cosmo Girl page 1 link at the bottom -- it
appears that I'm feeling trapped and can't find a way out. I'm going
around in circles. Or maybe I just like to draw intricate and detailed
doodles ;-) (And how does this jive with the fact that I dream of
flying
over gently
flowing water surrounded by many colored
birds?) |

I prefer to think of my doodles as outpourings or reflection of my inner
spiritual journey past my conscious mind and onto the paper. Kind of
like personal mandalas.
"The essence or purpose of the Mandala is
concerned with the process of invocation, the calling in and realization of
the spiritual force within the contemplator himself." |

Rangoli is an Indian art form done by women. This
site has some graphical
images that are very doodle like. Some people in the US are creating
elaborate
rangoli as rituals. |

Ok, this has nothing to do with doodling.... or does it? Visit
Plumb's Visual Thesaurus
-- be patient. Once it's loaded, to get a feel for how it works, type
in rumination and click to launch. When the Visual Thesaurus
launches with rumination, click on musing to make it the center. It
would be easy to spend hours playing with the words. |
