Welcome.  As it says, this is the place for oodles of doodles -- most of them mine, but a growing number from other folks, as well.

I've always been a doodler.  In the beginning, I filled sheets and sheets of paper with small circles, then squares, spirals and triangles.  My doodles were always very ordered, always very detailed.  Over they years they've become more and more elaborate.  I doodle when I'm on the phone or in meetings...  I've always said that in some strange way it helps me think. I recently learned that our brains have the capacity to hear and process about 400 words a minute, but that most people speak at somewhere between 135 and 175 words a minute.  People use the leftover processing capacity to do all kinds of things -- I use mine to doodle. Sometimes I doodle at home -- since I'm not doing anything else at the time, does that make the home doodles art?

Recently someone at work pointed out that some of my doodles are similar to an Indian art form called Rangoli. Indian women create simple to elaborate designs in front of their homes every morning as welcome or a form of prayer.  Here are some of my recent Rangoli-like doodles.  See the links page for other Rangoli links.

If you're interested in finding out what doodles might really "mean", check out the links page for "Doodles Explained."

My doodles often say something about where I work or what I'm working on. They probably say something about me, too. So be it.  Hope you enjoy the doodles.  If you have some of your own, use the Feedback form to tell me about them and I may just put them up for the world (or at least a small corner of it) to see.

  Thanks for stopping by,
